Synthetic grass, also called artificial turf, has a number of benefits for the homeowners who decide to have it installed. It greatly reduces the maintenance costs, as it requires no trimming or fertilizing. It will also save money on the water bill, as it does not require any water. The only thing that needs to be done to clean it is occasional sweeping. Artificial turf also stays green throughout the year – in hot, dry climates such as southern California, Nevada, and Arizona, many lawns with real grass end up browning and dying. Homeowners are not the only ones turning to synthetic grass. Many communities in California, such as Newport Beach and Irvine, have already made the switch to synthetic turf.
